Want to know the secret to getting over jetlag? An amazing breakfast! Nothing will get me up and moving faster than some delicious vittles.
It was our first morning in Sydney and we wanted to get a jump on the day. Our friend Becky landed a few days earlier and she suggested Two Good Eggs Cafe seeing as how she had recently enjoyed a good cup of Joe from there.
The atmosphere was amazing and you could tell from the vibe that is was a favorite amongst the locals and businessmen alike. The cafe was very welcoming. We had our two little ones in tow so we had a stroller. They made sure to accommodate us and make room for our stroller.
My oldest daughter was fortunate enough to get a hot chocolate made by the baristas there.  I’m pretty sure she enjoyed it.  She drank it so fast, I barely got to snap a pic. I ordered a café latte and it did not disappoint.  The barista’s there do a great job, which explains why their loyal customers stop by at 6am for their morning brew.

All of our breakfasts were pretty similar except in the aspect that almost everyone ordered a dish with salmon.  I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon, bacon and avocado and it was marvelous.  The salmon was sliced thick and had the best smoky flavor.  When you bit into it the salmon it was so soft and succulent, almost butter like.   The egg was poached perfectly.  If there was anything I could do to make this eggs benny better would be to add more avocado. Not that it was lacking in that aspect, it’s a personal preference. My husband ordered a croissant with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon.  This sandwich made such an impact on him, that he ordered the smoked salmon at almost every stop afterwards.

Two good eggs café is a real gem.  If you are ever in the downtown Sydney area take a stroll down Surry Hills and visit them, you will not be disappointed.  My rating 3.75/4 only due to the tight seating/stroller situation.  My eggs benny at Two Good Eggs Café is in the top 10 of eggs benedicts I’ve had.  If you’d like to see some of the competition, head on over to my post Best Benedict’s in Tampa Bay.
